Welcome to Lokzy! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lokzy mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Lokzy Team ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Lokzy, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Lokzy. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We require age verification during registration and reserve the right to terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.
3. Account Responsibilities
- Accurate information: You must provide truthful and accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
- Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
- One account per person: Each person may maintain only one Lokzy account. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension or permanent ban.
- Notification of breach: You must notify us immediately at legal@lokzy.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Lokzy in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment and bullying: Threatening, intimidating, stalking, or harassing other users in any form.
- Illegal activity: Using Lokzy to plan, promote, or engage in any illegal activities.
- Spam and solicitation: Sending unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotional content.
- Fake profiles: Impersonating another person or creating misleading profiles.
- Manipulation: Attempting to manipulate ratings, reviews, or the meetup discovery system.
- Harmful software: Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
5. Content Rules
When creating or sharing content on Lokzy, you must adhere to the following guidelines:
- No NSFW content: Sexually explicit, graphic, or pornographic content is not allowed.
- No hate speech: Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is prohibited.
- Respect others' privacy: Do not share personal information (phone numbers, addresses, financial information) of other users without their explicit consent.
- No copyright infringement: Only share content you have the right to use.
We use AI-powered moderation to detect and remove content that violates these rules. Repeated violations will result in account suspension or permanent ban.
6. Meetup Safety
Lokzy is a platform that facilitates connections between people. Please keep the following in mind:
- Lokzy is a platform only and is not responsible for the conduct of users during in-person meetups.
- Always meet in public places, especially when meeting someone for the first time.
- Tell a friend or family member about your meetup plans.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave and report the user through the app.
- Use the Safety Center in the app for additional tips and resources.
We encourage users to report any safety concerns. We take all reports seriously and investigate them promptly.
7. Intellectual Property
- Lokzy's property: The Lokzy name, logo, app design, and all related intellectual property are owned by Lokzy Team. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
- Your content: You retain ownership of the content you create and share on Lokzy. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service.
- Feedback: Any suggestions or feedback you provide about Lokzy may be used by us without obligation to you.
8. Termination
- By you: You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
- By us: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban your account if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behavior, or if required by law. We will notify you of any such action unless prohibited by law.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Lokzy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
- In no event shall Lokzy Team be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty (50) USD, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lokzy Team and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Lokzy after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law in your jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
